Verified skills.
Not claimed skills.

A CV has always been a claim, and now AI makes those claims impossible to trust. Sorbit runs a short adaptive assessment that can't be faked or outsourced, and turns the result into a skill rating your hiring and L&D teams can rely on.

Take-home tests and portfolios no longer tell you what a candidate can do.

AI assistance means self-reported skills, coding challenges and portfolios can all be generated on demand. Sorbit replaces those claims with a live, adaptive conversation that grades what the person actually demonstrates, whoever they are and however they were trained.

How verification works

One adaptive conversation and one portable credential give you the record a recruiter or an L&D lead actually works from.

1

Assess

A short adaptive conversation probes real understanding and adjusts difficulty as it goes. It can't be pre-answered or outsourced.

2

Rate

The transcript becomes a multidimensional skill rating rather than a single pass/fail number, so you can see exactly where the strengths and gaps are.

3

Verify

The individual owns a portable credential, checkable by any employer or recruiter against a public standard, and it updates as the skill does.

Every candidate assessed against one standard. Spot strengths, surface gaps, and prove training moved the needle.

A verified shortlist, not a stack of CVs

Every candidate arrives with the same evidence: a rating, a skill breakdown and a credential you can check. No guessing what a line on a CV really means.

Built as an assessment body

Verification only means something if the score has no thumb on the scale. Sorbit is structured so it doesn't.

No placement incentive

Sorbit is never paid for placing candidates, so ratings have no commercial reason to move in anyone's favour.

Owned by the individual

Credentials are portable across employers. No employer can veto or revoke someone's rating, and results are only released with consent.

Private by default

We comply with UK GDPR. Personal data is encrypted and never shared with third parties without explicit consent.

Questions recruiters ask

How is a Sorbit rating different from a coding test?
A coding test checks whether someone can produce a known answer. Sorbit runs an adaptive conversation that adjusts to each response, so it measures real understanding across six dimensions instead of a single pass or fail.
Can candidates just use AI to pass?
The assessment is live and adaptive, and it probes reasoning rather than final answers, so a pasted or generated response gets followed up until the underlying understanding is clear. Conversations are also screened by automated moderation, and flagged exchanges are routed for human review.
What does the rating actually measure?
Six skill dimensions (remember, understand, apply, analyse, evaluate and create) combine into an overall rating out of 100, with a breakdown by subject and topic so you can see exactly where the strengths and gaps are.
Do candidates consent to sharing their results?
Yes. An individual owns their credential, and their transcript and detailed results are only released to a third party once they have explicitly consented to it.
How long does an assessment take?
A first verified rating takes about five minutes, and there is no setup or integration required to run one.
Is Sorbit paid for placing candidates?
No. Sorbit is never paid for placing anyone, so ratings have no commercial reason to move in a candidate's or an employer's favour.
